ok guys a few days ago Kane had asked me to try out this new….umm im going to say connection technology called team speak at first I was totally against downloading another thing to my computer (hint I’m not a computer person) but then I learned it was free and that I wouldn’t have to worry about viruses and other unlawful things of that nature. I downloaded it and saw that it was actually pretty cool and it to me it’s like another ventrilo but free. the only thing that bugs me is that their constantly adding updates which you may or may not have to reinstall the stupid thing and the woman voice that tells you someone is on is genius. lol well in other words want am I saying? team speak is easy to use, free and free lol.
From Metal Mario to Samus Aran to Cousin Daisy from Katamari Damacy (Me – Elisa Elshamy who got her spotlight in the nytimes), along with many other video game favorites and fans were lined up Sunday night at the Beacon Theater in New York City for Video Games Live 2009. The line covered about 3 blocks and went across the street as gamers anxiously awaited to see and hear the most memorable moments from their favorite games orchestrated

Video Games Live composers Tommy Tallarico and Jack Wall
live on stage. The hall opened at 7pm sharp for some pre-game fun including a Guitar Hero tournament, entering a draw to win a Nintendo DSi, and time to take photos with cosplayers.
The event opened with the cosplay contest won by Mario and some humorous video clips. Tommy Tallarico, director of Video Games Live came out to give a brief intro to how it all began saying that when he first mentioned the idea of composing video game music live on stage everyone

Talented video games pianist Martin Leung
thought he “was completely crazy”. However, this turned out to be quite contrary and the show has been a huge success since its debut in 2005.
Tommy Tallarico got video game creator Ralph Baer via Skype to talk to the audience and share some thoughts. Footage from Baer’s groundbreaking development, Pong was played on screen. Baer created Pong back in 1969, which led to the birth of one of the world’s leading industries in entertainment and culture.
The orchestra directed by Jack Wall opened with music from all-time favorite Metal Gear Solid with some live action to go with it. The famous Snake hideout – a cardboard box appeared on stage and shortly after popped out the talented pianist Martin Leung. Other segments included music from

Kingdom Hearts, Shadow of the Colossus, the Super Mario Series, Final Fantasy and Halo. Two new segments played for the first time making their breakthrough in New York were Mega Man and Chrono Trigger/Cross.
Let’s not forget the Legend of Zelda segment where gifted, beautiful, and even funny Laura Intravia came on to the stage as Link with fairy companion Navi. Intravia opened the Zelda segment playing the flute with

well-known tunes from the game. Leung came back to give us more Mario and even played requests shouted from the audience right on the fly. Tallarico jammed on his guitar as Guitar Hero tournament champ awed us with a fascinating level expert performance on the big screen.
Video Games Live overall was a wonderful experience for me. I had a lot of fun, and got to re-live some of the most unforgettable moments from my favorite games. I recommend everyone to go sometime, as Tallarico put it best – there’s a lot more to video game music than just “bleeps and bloops”.

Video Games Live was here at the Beacon Theater in New York City Yesterday Night (October 25th). The music was the best I have ever heard. This was the first time I ever went to a Video Games Live. The one thing that made this show special is when Tommy Tallarico (CEO, Mystical Stone Entertainment) got Ralph Baer on Skype. Tommy spoke to Ralph and had him on the large screen for everyone to see.
Ralph Baer is the first person to record a video game. This recorded at the bottom was taken in 1969 features a game he made called Ping-Pong.
The next person I would like to mention is Martin Leung (Solo Pianist). Martin is a extremely talented young man. Martin is able to play Super Mario bros. blindfolded. Martin is the greatest and I would love to see his performance again and again.
Tommy Tallarico and Jack Wall brought all of this together. Their imagination and enthusiasm for games made this the best event ever. I will definitely recommend a friend to go. And I definitely want to go again.

Me & My Katamari Screenshot
Me & My Katamari introduces an array of new features (at least compared to the original Katamari Damacy), such as allowing the gamer the choice of picking different cousins to roll the Katamari and accessorizing them to personal choice. Even better, snapshots can be taken in some areas to capture the moment. The soundtrack consists of those from the previous titles, bringing a sense of nostalgia. However, the player can choose what tune plays before they enter a level.
Unlike the first Katamari Damacy (I say first because Me & My Katamari is also referred to as Katamari Damacy on its official site http://www.katamariforever.com/ ) where the prince is assigned to rebuild the stars in the sky, his duty is now to rebuild islands for animals. The game also has more levels than the first Damacy. The graphics are great, note I am speaking for the flavor of the Katamari series. It just wouldn’t be Katamari if we load the game with uber detail and it’s box-i-ness makes it what it is. The environments are colorful and the game has great replay value. You owe it to yourself to try this title out. Whether or not you have played Katamari before, although for those who have you’ll appreciate the new editions, this game is fun, challenging yet not overwhelming, and great for anyone to get their hands dirty with. I’ll let you in on a little secret, the ending’s the best part.
The Breakdown:
Graphics – 4 out of 5
Replay Value – 5 out of 5
Story Line – 3 out of 5
Originality – 5 out of 5
Challenge – 3 out of 5
Music – 5 out of 5
Rating – 4.17 out 5

Hello everyone please take the time to rate and comment on this blog.
So Bizzard is reworking the encounter with Onyxia. This will be released in patch 3.2.2 just in time for World of Warcraft’s fifth anniversary. Onyxia will have an updated loot table for the current game content. So far I have not heard anything about what loot will drop besides the flying mount the will be modeled after Onxyia. The mount will have an increased speed of 310%. Also the encounter will be updated to meet the current raiding style. Well this is a quick update from Kane take care.
This information was taken from the Classes, Items and Professions Panel. You can go to http://www.blizzard.com/blizzcon/recaps/class_items_prof-panel.xml . For more information.

The Goblin
This panel began by taking a close look at the two new playable races being introduced for World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. The goblin race, available to the Horde, will be able to choose from all classes except paladin and druid. Goblins also have some very interesting racial abilities, including a rocket belt that allows players to activate one of two rocket abilities every two minutes.
The first ability enables the player to jump up to 20 yards, while the other shoots rockets at an enemy player within 30 yards. Additionally, every 30 minutes the goblin can summon a pack hobgoblin, which will act as a personal servant granting bank access.
Goblins also gain a bonus to their alchemy skill, and should a player decide to become an alchemist there will be an increased benefit from drinking health and mana potions.
Additional passive goblin racials include a permanent 1% increase to attack and casting speed, and because of their knack for mercantile affairs, goblins will always receive the best possible gold discount regardless of reputation.

The Worgen
The worgen, our new Alliance race — has both a true form and a human form. The true form is purely cosmetic, and provides no combat bonus. A player may remain in either form when out of combat, but are automatically placed in their true form upon entering combat.
Worgens have a racial ability called Darkflight, which allows the worgen to temporarily increase their movement speed by 70%, and can be used every three minutes. This activated ability, like entering combat, will also force the worgen into its true form. Other worgen racials include a passive 1% increase to all damage, reduced duration from the effects of curses and disease, and a bonus to skinning, as well as the ability to skin faster. Worgen will have access to all classes except paladin and shaman.

Well the title says it all. Cataclysm is the next expansion in World of Warcraft. So this expansion would make it number three. For those of you not follow Blizzcon this will be huge. Well actually you might not believe it. All of Azeroth will be changed. Old zones you have been in will be unrecognizable. But before that two new races are being released. One is called Worgen which is a werewolf race that once use to be human. Then you have the Goblins. This is going to be interesting. The level cap is being increased to 85. Also there will be new race class combinations. After the expansion goes live players will be able to fly in Azeroth. Also there will be several changes to stats and some new systems are implemented for guilds and leveling. I will be posting up some more detailed information the blizzard has released.
